The guestrooms at Southern Anchorage Retreat are absolutely amazing. The premium bedding feels like sleeping on a cloud, and the air conditioning keeps you cool and comfortable. Plus, the free WiFi is a great perk. As someone who loves a good night's sleep and staying connected, this room was perfect for me.
Honestly, the only thing I liked less about the room was the spa bath. It's just not my thing, but I know some people really enjoy it.

We had an amazing time at Southern Anchorage Retreat! Our stay was for a weekend getaway and the property had everything we needed. The cabin was comfortable and well-equipped, with a kitchen and spacious bathroom. The highlight of our trip was seeing a troop of kangaroos passing by our cabin at dusk, including females with joeys. The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to the Great Ocean Road and Twelve Apostles. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we even received an email with tips for nearby attractions and restaurants. We will definitely be returning!
Do recommend this hotel.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning surroundings and welcoming atmosphere. The abundance of native Australian and cottage plants created a jaw-dropping first impression. The fully equipped kitchen was a pleasant surprise, allowing us to cook a mind-blowing meal for ourselves. The bookcase filled with novels, magazines, and games provided endless entertainment, and the birdlife books and binoculars allowed us to admire the fascinating wildlife in the picturesque valley. The location was super convenient for exploring the Great Ocean Rd and nearby attractions like "Apostle Whey Cheese" and "The Gorge Chocolate shop". We can't wait to return for a few days of tranquility in this amazing retreat.

The cabins were clean and well-appointed, with all the necessary amenities and even a washing machine and dryer. . the location was great for exploring the Great Ocean Road and nearby attractions. It was a delightful surprise to see kangaroos and wallabies in the area, adding to the overall experience.
The jacuzzi in our cabin did not work properly, which was quite disappointing. . We also found the beds to be uncomfortable and in need of better quality mattresses.
